Breaking Through Barriers

Many times when set out to complete a goal we are faced with barriers and obstacles along the way, that prevent us from fulfilling our purpose and achieving our dreams. This is a part of life and as we aquire wisdom we are better to equip ourselves when faced with challenges.

These barriers fall into two catergories: Internal and External. The internal barriers are those that are self imposed, limiting beliefs that we put on ourselves, they include the negative chatter that goes on inside our head and the lies we have been told about ourselves and have chosen to beleive.

For me it was the belief of settling that I should be content with my life and my career. My mindset has always been you choose to be happy which is not a bad thing but my happiness was limited. I settled for less because part of me didn't believe I deserved to make more than I was currently making, the belief that I had to work hard to earn more.

Take time to identify the internal factors that are stopping you from acheiving success. Write them down.

The second barrier is External these are obstacles you have no control over, and prevent us from going where we are trying to go. This could be your job, the weather or even family.

Take time to identify the external factors that are stopping you from acheiving success. Write them down.

Now that you have identified these forces, take time to make solutions and next write out your 30 day goals and write down why it is important for you to achieve this goal.

Please come back and share your insights and your goals. I would love to hold you accountable for your goals the next 30 days. Please feel free to email me at if you would like to participate

Are You Just Going Through The Motions

Wow! It’s has been an amazing week! I have had to chance to connect with so many incredible people this week and talking about only 3 months of the year left and realizing it is time to launch out into the deep in order to accomplish their dreams.
So, I want to know where are you in terms of your goals. Go back and look at the goals you wrote down at the beginning of the year and be honest with yourself have you accomplished your goals. If you have Congrats!
If you are not happy where you are today then what’s the problem?

What is holding you back?
Why are you procrastinating?
God has not giving us the spirit of Fear but he has given us each a special power.
I want to show you EXACTLY how to reach your GOALS!
So let’s Define Goals: According to Wikipedia: A goal or objective is a desired result a person or a system envisions, plans and commits to achieve—a personal or organizational desired end-point in some sort of assumed development. Many people endeavor to reach goals within a finite time by setting deadlines.
It is roughly similar to purpose or aim, the anticipated result which guides reaction, or an end, which is an object, either a physical object or an abstract object, that has intrinsic value.
Here are a few success tips to help you reach your goals!
Success Tip 1 – What have you been doing in the past? When it comes to your goals, you should be tracking your results and actions, so looking back over the last 3 months what have you been doing to reach your goals and what has been the results. Think about the steps you know you should have taken but for whatever reason you didn’t. Write it Down.
Success Tip 2 – What are you doing now? You should be working on your goals daily. What are you doing now to achieve your goals?
What do you need to do to reach your goals? Is it limit your time on the computer, watching TV, on the phone, doing things in your business that don’t produce results such as filing and organizing when you should be working? Write it Down.
What limiting beliefs are holding you back to becoming the person you want to be?
Is it Fear?

Is it Procrastination?
Is it I am still working on myself?

I don’t have enough experience?
I know the feeling, I have been there many times, I knew deep down inside that my purpose was to empower people to take their life to a new level, but I ran from it for almost three years, because I said oh there are too many life coaches etc but I now know the God has set aside specific people for me to help unleash breakthroughs.
Success Tip 3: Do Something Different. I know you have heard this before, in order to get what you have never done before you have to do something you have never done before. Example invest in yourself and get some accountability and hire a life coach.
Success Tip 4: Be Committed – You have to stay committed to your goals and your most importantly yourself, you deserve success. So even when it gets hard you have to find the strength to carry on that is another reason why it is important to discover your Why?
Success Tip 5: Celebrate Your Success – Every little accomplishments deserves praise, for every small task you check off you should feel joy and reward yourself, it could be a pat on the back, trip to the salon, a massage, ice cream. Just spoil yourself.

Your Legacy Begins Today!

I hope by now you have realized by now the economy is what it is and you can't afford to wait around for the economy to pick up before you decide to start living the life of your dreams or venture out and start your own business, nor can you wait for the government to fix the situation.

It is ultimately up to you to take action. So decide today to take matters in your own hand. No one is going to give you the income you deserve. No one else can help you be healthy, increase your finances, make your marriage or relationship feel fulfilled it is ultimately up to you. Only you can make your life better.

Take a minute and close your eyes and envision your life like you want to live it. Okay now it is time to stop dreaming and take action. You cants sit around on the sofa or hide behind your desk thinking money and success will come to you. It’s possible but you must take action in order to get the desired results.

Don't be just a day dreamer. The world is full of day dreamers, too many people, hoping and wishing they had a better life. We need more go-getters. I hope you know that you are someone's inspiration and there is someone waiting on you. They need your product or services. They are waiting on you and you are the only with a solution.

Getting the life you envisioned requires motivation, faith, praying and planning.

What is it that you were created to do?

What does success look like to you?

You have to define success for yourself are you will end up chasing someone else's dream.

Asking yourself this very important question can change your life! It will change how you see life and finding your purpose!

Whose success are you living? Is it yours or is it your parents, or is it the joneses? Don’t compare your life to anyone else's. You are not your friend; you are not your co-worker or your neighbor. What God has for you is for you!

So the first step in defining success is to stop and ask yourself, what makes me truly happy? What gives me deep joy? If I had to speak on a particular topic what topic would it be? What is it that resonates with my soul? The answers to these questions may awaken your dream, your passion and your purpose in life.

It is my passion to help you dream again, help you discover your purpose and create success. As a life coach, I can provide you with inspiration, tools and resources to help you take the necessary action to live your dream life.

Your success is up to for you.......act now

Schedule Some Me Time

Are you finding it hard to find time for yourself? Does your day-to-day routine include taking care of your children, husband, and working a full time job, basically making sure everyone elses needs are met. What many of us fail to realize that taking a little me time is one of the most important things you can do for your family, realizing your health and happiness are important to the whole family.

Make an appointment with yourself today for some me time. It doesnt require a lot of time, money, or planning. All it requires is a commitment to yourself and realizing that you are worth it and deserve it.

Take 20 minutes today to rejuvenate your mind, body, style, and spirit.

Below are some tips to renew and refresh when youre feeling overwhelmed and underappreciated.

Listen to Music

Music can instantly change your mood. It is a good pick me up when you are feeling a little down. Try listening to music as you are preparing dinner or just lying down or relaxing. Load up that MP3 player with your favorite soothing or energizing music.

Soak A Way The Stress

Taking a nice shower is so therapeutic to the soul. Add a few scented candles (Brazilian Jackfruit is my favorite) and lather the body with an exfoliating shower gel and how about adding some rose petals to the water as well.

Manicure and Pedicure

Pay some extra attention to your hands and feet today. You dont have to run to the salon to spend extra money you dont have. This is something you can do at home. Check out the Happy Foot Collection and hand treatment and treat yourself to a lavender foot spa and tangerine lychee manicure. Have dad take the kids to the park or movies and schedule a lifestyle gathering (spa party) at home with your girlfriends.

Light a Candle
Aromatherapy feels good to the soul. Scented candles are an inexpensive way to relieve some stress. Soothing aromas can help reduce that overwhelming feeling and create a relaxing atmosphere.

You dont have to get all sweaty or have some vigorous routine, a 30-minute walk in the morning can help boost your energy and sharpen you mentally, and decrease stress. Enjoy what Mother Nature has to offer as you soothe your soul.

Taking a few extra minutes each week to indulge yourself doesnt just feel good; it's good for you. Reducing stress keeps you healthy and happy. It improves your mood and much more. The key is to schedule a little me time just as you would a regular appointment, so it becomes part of your everyday lifestyle instead of a guilty pleasure.

Remember Who You Are

Many of us have lost touch with who we are, we lose ourselves in our jobs, family and church only to wake up one day realizing that we are unhappy with the path we are travelling.

Then next we want to play the blame game blaming our parents, jobs and current circumstances for where we are . Blaming others for your life choices is very unhealthy and does more harm than good. It is time to heal your core beliefs. False beliefs can often diminish success with relationships, career, parenting, finances, studies, weight loss, Christian growth and more. There are great tool and techniques that life coaches can use to help you move forward.

Once you overcome the false beliefs you can learn to embrace yourself and work on becoming whole. In order to be completely whole you have to be one with God.

It is time to get connected or reconnect with God our creator. We have to recognize and acknowledge our divine source he is everything love, patience, kind, merciful and he has placed all that in us but often when people depend on man and the world we are left not knowing how to love ourselves or they neighbor. Remember we are not children of the world we are children of God. When you know who you are you stand firm in who you are and you embrace yourself and learn more about who you are.

I want to share with you one of my favorite quotes by George Elliot "It is never too late to be who you might have been."--George Eliot

Today’s Task

Write a brief paragraph in your journal of who you are. Don’t include titles such as I am wife, mother, these are all great and the truth but right now I want to get to the core and true essence of who you are, I want you to think outside the box and reconnect with who you are.

Just write as if you are introducing yourself to someone and they simply said tell me about you?

Once you write your statement I want you to say it out loud while standing in front of the mirror and say it three times so that you download this into your subconscious.

Say it like you mean it with feeling and conviction.

It's Time To Dream Again!

Are you ready to Awaken Your Dreams?

It’s time to dream again! Many of us of stopped dreaming or given up hope. Inside of each woman lies a hidden treasure. It is something the God has placed inside of you and sometimes you just need a little push or something to resonate with you to remind you that you we created by God for a purpose and that the world needs you.

What is your ultimate dream? We all dream but some reason never commit to taking the first step or staying the course. Why is it that when I often ask that question what are you doing to live out your dream I get hesitation or a blank stare? Don’t think about the answer to long I want you to write down the first thing that comes to your mind.

God has given each of us a gift to serve his people. Many of us already know our gifts and there are some women walking around still questioning their purpose. I want to encourage you to seek God and ask him what is that you want me to do. The bible says in James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

Our gifts and talents are to be used to bring good to the planet. Right now the only thing getting in your way is taking the next step!

I want to encourage you today to take inventory on your gifts and talents. What is it that you possess? If you’re still unsure ask 3-5 close family members or friends to describe you in three words, to identify your strengths and then ask yourself if you agree with them?

Just like with Moses, when you begin to use what’s in your hand, God will add power and miracles to your efforts which always produce success!

What’s in your hands? Grab hold to what you have and take your next step. In doing so, you will start to dream again and find your true life purpose!

Today’s Task:

What is it that you would do, even if you didn’t get paid to do it? It is something that you are passionate about?

Who will this one thing serve or how will it help others?

What has been the one thing that has prevented you from realizing this one thing?

What steps can you take to overcome this obstacle or move beyond it to reach your goal?

When will you do it? (Give it a date within the next 10 days)

How will you do it?

Now…Take the First Step and ; Just do it? Don't forget to share your thoughts with us about your experience!

What Keeps You Up At Night

What is Stealing Your Peace

Are you at peace in all aspects of your life?

If not what is it that is stealing your peace?

Is it …..

Your finances

Your marriage

Your family, children or relatives

Your job

What is it?

Whatever it is your situation or circumstance doesn’t determine your peace. Don’t allow the outside to rob you of your joy.

Today I want you to focus on love because the world needs more love. You were created out of Love and you can show others how to love

Just as God has loved on you!

Today I want you to call this first person who comes to mind and tell them you love them. It feels good to give and what you give you also receive.

So focus today on being the source of love to all those around you.

Today's Task:

What in your life is robbing your peace?

How will you turn this around and create peace in those areas?

What are some of the action steps you will make?

You Have What It Takes To Lead The Pack

It’s Time For You to Lead The Pack!

One of the many things I had to do when I started to walk in my purpose was separate myself from others and also get to a place of quietness and learn to be still and wait on direction from God.

In finding my purpose my journey began three years ago with empowering women to take better care of themselves with emphasis on self care and personal development. This required stepping outside of my norm and doing the uncomfortable such as speaking in front of others, hosting monthly workshops and lifestyle gatherings. However it became natural and I enjoyed doing it and seeing lives transforming and knowing that because of God I was able to help others, but I became too comfortable and stagnant.

During my self-discovery God directed my family and I to Georgia. I was excited about the relocation because I knew it was time for a new beginning and God had to move in order to fulfill his purpose because I became too comfortable.

The move is necessary when there is a call or assignment on your life and obedience is better than the sacrifice. When you start to walk in obedience it is pleasing to God’s eyes and you will connect with your real authentic self. In order for you to walk in purpose and bring change to the world it is necessary that you go through the changes and don’t let fear distract you!

What areas of your life have you been playing small in? You know just taking a seat and being a member of the pack knowing that God is calling you to lead the pack... Take a minute and think.

Are you involved in any church activities, memberships, boards, groups, work committees? What is the one thing you can now take the lead on?

Maybe you have been playing small with your friends. You know in your heart that they need a leader. Why haven’t you stepped up? If they are always coming to you with their problems, it’s because they need you to be the leader.

Whatever area you have been playing small in, it’s time to stop. Why? Because there are folks waiting on you to dare to be different, to step away from the pack and take the lead!

What will you take the lead on?

I am now willing to lead___________________________________

How will you do it? What are the steps?

When will you do it?

Who or what do you need to let go of, leave behind, in order to accomplish this task?

Are you willing to step out front and leave them behind?

Let take the giant step now and leap out on faith. Write in your journal what it felt like to take the lead.

What Is It That You Want?

What Is It That You Want?

What Is That You Want?

"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart."(Psalm 37:4)

Many times we are so focused on the needs and wants of those around us that we fail to give attention to the desires of your heart. We live our lives for our family and friends etc. I wanted to take a minute to today to ask you what do you want? Or better yet I want you to ask yourself what is it that you want?
Be Authentic and Honest in your answer and take a minute or take the entire day if you must and get clear on what you want for your life!

If you could wave a magic wand what would your ideal life look like?

And then also have you asked God. Remember he has our best interest at heart and he is always with us. Delight yourself in the lord and he shall direct your path. Spend time dwelling on his wisdom, understanding, his love, his promises and remember nothing is too hard for our God.

Feel free to share but I want to encourage you to get a journal and write down the first thing that comes to mind. Journal your experience and every emotion behind it.

Take time out today to make your needs a PRIORITY!
Stay Encouraged!

Is Your Life Invaluable??

I was listening to a sermon from Joel Olsteen; another powerful message and I just wanted to pass it along. Is your life invaluable and are you suffering from Destination Disease? Destination Disease is when you reach a point of your life and your just basically staying right there.

Did you get a promotion and then a year later you are still sitting right there in the same position? If you go on vacation tomorrow will you be missed from your job? What is meant by missed, is will the office be in such disarray that they need you there? If not could you replaced or laid of tomorrow? Did you get your degree and the position you hoped for and you havent opened a book since you left high school or college.

They say TV Guide is the most read magazine of the year and that 50% of people when they graduate school dont read. What is wrong with that picture? It is important that each day we continue to learn to make ourselves better. Learning should not be a period of your life. Life should be a learning experience. Each year you should set personal goals and set out to accomplish them. I challenge you to make a personal development plan.

Write out a personal development plan and use your thought process to make a plan on how you will get to your destination. If your not sure where to start a mentor or coach might be a great solution. Your probably thinking you dont need a coach or mentor. I beg to differ, I think you should find good mentors who have been where you were and are where you are trying to go, Tiger Woods has a coach even as great as he is in his career, he has a personal trainer and coach that help him reach and realize his full potential.

Go to seminars once or twice of years with others in your field, you want to be around other people in your field that you can share ideas with. Find someone in your field and study them, the more you know about them the better chance you have to duplicate the system.

You have to realize if you havent already that your time is invaluable and should not be wasted by hanging with people who are hindering your growth or wasting their time not growing anywhere. If they are constantly complaining about their past and current life situation let me tell you again that destination disease is contagious.

Also, dont associate with what I call haters those who tell you dreams are impossible, call you a book worm, nerd, etc. the same people when you reach your goals will be calling you boss, CEO of your own business or they have their hands out. Associate with people who empower or inspire you. Your time is invaluable you need a good foundation to build your life on. Just make the most of what time you have.

God will bring the right people in your life at the right time, and Hell also allow the right people to leave at the right time to bring you to your God given destiny.

Whats your plan for potential growth? It can be very simple such as:

Mediate the first 20 minutes of the day
Listen to a teaching CD on your next 20-minute car drive
Meet up with my mentor twice a month
Turn off the TV 20 minutes earlier tonight to read a book

In the coming days you will have opportunities presented in your life but you have to be prepared. Make a decision to learn something everyday and the right people will come into your life and god will take you places you never dreamed of.

It's Time To Get MAD!!!

“I found every single successful person I've ever spoken to had a turning point. The turning point was when they made a clear, specific unequivocal decision that they were going to achieve success. Some people make that decision at 15 and some people make it at 50, and most people never make it at all." - Brian Tracey

It’s time to get M.A.D. I don’t literally mean MAD in the sense of angry, but Make A Decision to be successful. Don’t get caught up in the hype of I have a business now, I have to get some customers, start advertising, and the money will start pouring in. That kind of thinking can discourage you or even bankrupt you.

So let’s get clear and started on the right track today! So regardless if your just now getting started, thinking of starting a business, or you have been in business for quite some time, your business could still need some assistance.

The first step to being Successful is making a decision to be Successful.

Here are two powerful steps to put into action right now.

1. Make A Decision! It’s time to make a decision to achieve your goals. A lot of people make the mistake of starting a business and not attaching any goals or a real commitment to succeed.

For example. I will have a successful business, I will be a millionaire, Whatever it takes I am doing this.

2. Have A Strong Why. Take time to reflect on why you want to start a business and it should be more than just money, something that resonates with you and will bring you down to your knees. Start reflecting on your life and what it would look like if money was no issue, there was nothing in your way to stop you from living the life of your dreams. What would your life be like. Write it Down! Because you are going to need to keep your why in front of you when the tough gets going and obstacles

3. Subscribe to My Blog: Stay Empowered and Receive Inspirational Updates

come your way. Your Why should be strong enough, so when your presented with obstacles you don’t give up.
